Hello! I am a writer and journalist who covers national affairs. I previously worked as a senior reporter at HuffPost, where I wrote for Highline, and as a staff reporter for Mother Jones. My work has also appeared in The New York Times Sunday ReviewThe Atlantic (online)Marie Claire, ELLE.com, and InsiderI am a two-time Livingston Awards finalist and was awarded a Writers Guild Award for a story I co-wrote about police officer domestic abuse. I recently completed an M.F.A. in fiction at the University of Wyoming. I attended the 2021 Tin House summer workshop and Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. My fiction has appeared in Passages NorthCheap Pop, Hobart, Guernica, and CutBank Literary Magazine. I grew up in Bozeman, Montana, which I wrote about here.
